韩国法院批准拘留总统尹锡悦

According to BlockBeats, the Seoul Western District Court in South Korea has approved a detention warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol. This marks the first time in South Korea's constitutional history that a sitting president has been subjected to a detention investigation.

The court began reviewing the necessity of the detention warrant on the afternoon of January 18 and approved it in the early hours of January 19, citing concerns that the suspect might destroy evidence. The Joint Investigation Headquarters of South Korea stated that they will proceed with the investigation of Yoon's case in accordance with legal and procedural guidelines.

The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office had applied for the detention warrant on January 17, accusing Yoon of "inciting rebellion and abuse of power." Yoon appeared at the Seoul Western District Court on the afternoon of January 18 for the review of the detention warrant's necessity.
